Shawna Turner

As the only girl in a family of six kids, my childhood was a whirlwind of adventure and discovery. With five brothers, my home brimmed with energy and chaos.
Each day was a new journey into the unknown. My best escape was diving into books in my bedroom's peaceful refuge, which I did as often as I could.
I looked forward to visiting my grandparents and girl cousins in Washington every year. Their company filled my summers with comfort and joy.
As a child, I was curious and believed I could do anything. It got me into some silly situations. But, I never lost my excitement to discover what the world held in store for me.

I moved out on my own my senior year of high school, and began cosmetology school as soon as I graduated. I found unexpected joy working in the salon.
I got married at age 24, had two kids and lived in my very favorite neighborhood, The Avenues.
Everything seemed perfect until some unexpected bumps in the road appeared. My marriage fell apart, and my health had also gone downhill.
I had five herniated discs and Fibromyalgia, making my very physical job tough to do full time. I realized I needed a new path.
This new path should help me leave a job I loved. But, it must still help people at life's important moments and I wanted to love it as much as I loved being in the salon.

Real estate was my beacon of hope. It kept my love for connecting with people and their pivotal moments, but it was less stressful on my health.
Switching from the salon to finding families their dream homes was like turning a fresh page in a favorite book. My experience in salon work taught me to listen, understand needs, and be a trusted guide. It was about being part of someone's great life event.
Some of my clients had been with me for 20+ years. I had been with them through marriage, babies, and their kids' school dances. I saw them through divorce and death. Life's biggest transitions. It turns out, it's much the same when families hunt for their next nest.

Through real estate, I've crafted what I call the "Next Nest Method." It’s my way of making home hunting seamless and stress-free for people who dream big, like I always did.
At the heart of my work is a simple but powerful core value: integrity. I want every client to remember me as honest and kind. I am completely dedicated to their happiness and goals.
I've learned the true meaning of resilience, love, and support. I hope that every handshake and smile I share helps families feel the magic of starting a new chapter. Each new home begins a great story, and I want that story to be epic!
